WHAT DETERMINES RECOMMENDED MAINTENANCE INTERVALS?

There are three factors considered when determining your vehicle’s ideal maintenance interval: manufacturer recommendations, mileage, and driving conditions (normal vs. severe).

Based on mileage, the most common routine maintenance schedule is on a 30-60-90 interval, meaning you should perform essential preventative maintenance about every 30,000 miles. Manufacturer recommendations are a baseline set for brand-new vehicles, but your ideal schedule will vary based on your driving habits, road conditions, and vehicle age. We base our recommendations on OEM vehicle maintenance schedules.

Every vehicle is unique, and various parts can wear out at irregular intervals depending on your driving habits. Some services, such as oil changes and tire rotations, are performed more frequently than others.

THE BENEFITS OF STICKING TO YOUR VEHICLE’S RECOMMENDED MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE

If you want to help ensure your vehicle runs newer, longer, sticking to your vehicle's maintenance schedule matters. Maintenance schedules are based on a combination of best practices and the unique needs of your vehicle, so they should be customized to serve your vehicle as closely as possible. Some of the benefits of sticking to your vehicle’s recommended maintenance schedule include:

  • Protecting your vehicle from costly damage that can develop over time
  • Limiting the need for unexpected repairs
  • Keeping the vehicle running properly
