Nashville, TN—the headquarters of hot chicken, many renowned musicians, and soon, a household name in tires and car care: Bridgestone Americas. Just blocks from the iconic Country Music Hall of Fame, the Schermerhorn Symphony, and the Bridgestone Arena, Bridgestone's new corporate headquarters is set to be one of the largest and tallest corporate headquarter buildings in Music City.
The name of the building, "The Bridgestone Tower," was unveiled on Friday, April 7 during a "topping out" ceremony that marked the completion of the soaring 30-story structure. By the year's end, the tower will be home to more than 1,700 employees, some of whom will be relocating from the Chicago and Indianapolis metro areas. Bridgestone's four primary business units will be represented in the tower, including Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, Bridgestone Retail Operations, Firestone Building Products, and Firestone Industrial Products.
"With Bridgestone Tower and Bridgestone Operations Center in Antioch that opens this summer, we're proud of the economic impact our new facilities will have on Music City, but we're most excited to have our business units and teammates together in the same metro area," said Gordon Knapp, Bridgestone Americas' president and CEO.
